Clare Lodge is a Secure Children's home that support young people who are admitted on welfare grounds. The post is within the dedicated health team which is part of the Children, Young Peoples and Families Directorate within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation NHS Trust. We are a busy and energetic team providing a service to young people aged between 12 and 17 years presently living at Clare Lodge. The young people we support often present with complex mental health needs and high levels of risk. It is an excellent motivated team, staffed by experienced multi-disciplinary workers, including clinical psychologist, consultant psychiatrist, physical health nurses, occupational therapist and a mental health nurse. The Health Team work closely alongside the residential and education teams to implement a therapeutic model across the whole unit. 

This post is for a Assistant Psychologist to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the effective application of the Secure Stairs program at Clare Lodge. You will work under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist and the post will have a split between clinical work and research and evaluation. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. You should possess excellent communication skills and be prepared to liaise with other professionals as necessary.
