We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated full time (37.5 hours per week) Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join our Neighbourhood Team, working across Peterborough and surrounding villages within Older Peoples’ Mental Health service.
We are a friendly, supportive and proactive team with a passion for the provision of caring for service users living in the community, providing treatment to older people. The role will involve multidisciplinary working with both mental and physical health staff. The neighbourhood team consists of Community Mental Health Nurses/Occupational Therapists, District Nurses and Therapy. We work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists and Social Workers. The main bases are Botolph bridge community Health Centre, and City care centre, CPFT supports agile working.
This role will have a balance of working as a generic mental health practitioner with regular opportunities to use your relevant, specific professional skills to assess and implement treatment plans for older adults with mental health needs and dementia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times and have a passion for working with older people in the community. This post is open to professionals with the right attributes to enhance a team.
