Interested? Why not consider working for our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team based in Peterborough. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. We work closely with the three day assessment unit and have close links with the treatment and recovery wards. We also work alongside our First Response Service, our liaison services and community teams.

The post offers the opportunity to work intensively with service users in crisis, undertaking assessments in the community and developing plans of care as part of a strong multi disciplinary team. You will be responsible for leading care and treatment interventions and supervising junior staff in the delivery of care. The team works within an integrated care system which provides a Mental Health Service, seven days a week, 24 hours a day within an acute and recovery ward setting.

There is the opportunity for professional development in areas such as Non Medical Prescribing and AMHP training and leadership roles.

We welcome applications from staff with varying levels of experience including ward based and offer relevant supervision and education to facilitate this transition.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Superb clinical, team and communication skills together with vision and enthusiasm to develop the mental health services;

  • Strong team leading and people management skills;

  • Thrive on exciting challenges and want to develop their skills;

  • Have a relevant degree and previous experience of working with patients with unstable conditions;

  • Have the expertise, passion and experience to make a real difference to caring for people;

  • Experience of working as a member of a full multi-disciplinary team.
