We are looking for a suitably qualified mental health practitioner (Band 6) to work in our CAMHS Single Point of Access Team.  This is a full time post which will include a minimum of 20% casework in the main CAMHS team providing assessment and therapeutic intervention.

The CAMHS Single Point of Access Team (SPA) receives and processes the non-crisis referrals for community CAMHS in the Trust area of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.  The processing of referrals involves triaging each referral for risk and making the decision about whether the referral meets the threshold for a face to face assessment for specific CAMHS pathway team. If they do not meet threshold, the SPA will signpost the referral to the appropriate service or offer suitable advice. As part of processing referrals SPA clinicians might need to liaise with a range of professionals involved and speak directly to families / young person where necessary.

You would be one of five qualified clinical staff in a small, friendly and supportive team which also has dedicated admin support.

You would also need to participate in the CAMHS weekend & public holiday on-call rota which means you would cover up to four weekends per year 9am to 5pm.

Current professional registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or the Health Care Professions Council is an essential requirement of the job.
