Mulberry 2 are seeking a talented Healthcare Assistant to join the Treatment Unit. Are you looking for a new challenge, a new team in which to develop new skills or build upon your existing skills.
If you are an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for working in care, we would strongly encourage you to apply to join the 3 week Acute Treatment Unit based in Fulbourn Hospital, Cambridge. The unit works closely with the local community teams, Crisis Resolution Home treatment Team.
The post offers the opportunity to work intensively with service users in crisis developing plans of care as part of a strong multi disciplinary team. The post holder will undertake assigned tasks involving direct patient care including physical, psychological, social and recreational needs. They will also work within an integrated care system which provides a Mental Health Service, seven days a week, 24 hours a day within an acute ward setting.
The service provides Multi-disciplinary team (MDT) working with the nursing and therapy teams, psychologists and inpatient consultants. The MDT works with service users strengths and focuses around recovery and transitions out of hospital. Staff will be supported to develop professionally through supervision and there are excellent training opportunities. The post holder will have the opportunity to participate in developing treatment plans and interventions in conjunction with the MDT.

Working within the acute care services at Mulberry 2, will give post holders the opportunity to learn a full range of basic mental health skills, and to assist registered nurses with care and treatment of patients on a day to day basis. We also offer regular individual and group supervision. In addition, we offer a 5 day induction on commencement in post.
**CPFT will support new to care Clinical Healthcare Support staff Band 2 - 4 through the provision of a robust programme of learning and development over their first 12 weeks in the Trust leading to the completion of the Care Certificate. The Care Certificate is a foundation programme which can provide the first steps into future career development within the NHS.
